Juvenile No Nay Never Colt Gains First Win
Wedonttelllies (2c No Nay Never - Single, by Singspiel) continued the fine run of form for No Nay Never when striking at Kempton on Thursday.
The Richard Hughes-trained colt had built on his debut effort with a fast-finishing third at Kempton earlier this month and went two better under Finley Marsh when defeating his rivals by upwards of a length.
Wedonttelllies was continuing No Nay Never’s excellent run with his juveniles, with Controlled winning on his second start at Naas earlier in the day and Pandemonium striking on debut at Yarmouth on Wednesday.
No Nay Never's leading performers this year include Group 1 City of York Stakes winner Never So Brave, Group 2 Queen Mary Stakes scorer True Love, Group 2 Norfolk Stakes victor Charles Darwin and City of York Stakes runner-up Lake Forest.
Another exciting juvenile for the son of Scat Daddy this year is the unbeaten Hey Nay Nay, a winner of the Grade 3 Del Mar Juvenile Turf Stakes this month. The John Sadler-trained colt is being aimed at the Breeders' Cup back at Del Mar in November.
