No Nay Never Colt Lands York Success

Frescobaldi (2c No Nay Never - Kodiva, by Kodiac) landed his first win when striking in the valuable Convivial Maiden at York on Friday.

The Ballydoyle-trained colt improved from his debut run at the Curragh in April to place a close-up second at Fairyhouse in June.

This time under Ryan Moore, the son of No Nay Never disputed the lead and, when challenged two furlongs out, came home to win by three-quarters of a length.

Moore, who was riding his 100th winner on the Knavesmire, said: “I’ve always enjoyed riding at York, it’s a great racecourse and hopefully we can keep coming back here.”
