No Nay Never Colt Off The Mark In Style

Major Neigh Sayer (2c No Nay Never - Queen Iseult, by Camelot) got off the mark with a comfortable strike at Newmarket on Wednesday.

The George Scott-trained colt had placed on his two previous starts and improved on those efforts with a three-and-a-quarter-length success under P J McDonald.

Major Neigh Sayer raced in second and came to press the leader three furlongs out. Travelling smoothly, the son of No Nay Never took up the lead a furlong from home and was never headed.

Scott said: “He’s a horse we've always liked and he’s a big horse who's maturing all the time and I think he has a bright future.

“They went very slow over six furlongs last time and turned it into a sprint and he was just run off his feet a little bit. Seven furlongs has brought out the best of him today and he’s a beautiful-looking horse who is very well bred."

Major Neigh Sayer was leading a one-two for No Nay Never as Eklleem claimed the runner-up spot.

The colt was bred by Castlehyde, Pref Equine and Lindy Farms.
