Purple Patch Continues For No Nay Never With 1.7 Million Guineas Colt
A purple patch for No Nay Never continued when a colt out of Cheveley Park Stakes winner Millisle sold to MV Magnier and White Birch Farm for 1.7 million guineas at Tattersalls on Wednesday.
The Watership Down Stud-consigned colt is the second seven-figure yearling out of the daughter of Starspangledbanner and he featured among the highlights of the second session at Park Paddocks.
Magnier said: “No Nay Never is having a very good year with the likes of Charles Darwin and True Love.
“Blackbeard is having a great sale here and there’s plenty of good word for Little Big Bear. Millisle was a very good filly, so hopefully this colt ends up being a good, quick horse.”
No Nay Never supplied the top lot at last week’s Goffs Orby Sale when a sister to Blackbeard and Charles Darwin sold to Magnier for €1.9 million.
His top-class True Love had landed the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes just a few days previously, having also captured a pair of Group 2s in the Queen Mary and Railway Stakes earlier in the season.
