Saxon Girl (saxon warrior) Wins The Listed Prix Pawneese

Saxon Warrior Filly Gains Well-Earned Stakes Success

A step up in trip saw Saxon Girl (4f Saxon Warrior – Neris, by Henrythenavigator) gain a well-deserved stakes success in Sunday’s Listed Prix Pawneese at Chantilly.

Trained by Tim Donworth for Team Valor, the daughter of Saxon Warrior had earned black-type on her last five starts and stepped up to a mile and a half on her latest start. Settled in midfield by Aurelien Lemaitre, the chesnut quickened turning for home and chased the leaders with two furlongs left to race. Ridden to challenge entering the final furlong, she led soon after and dug deep to deny Agile (Rock Of Gibraltar) by a short neck.

Saxon Girl was bred by C Mongin and U Sainti-Fasanotti.
