Saxon Warrior’s Good Week Continues With BBAG Sale Success
A productive week for Saxon Warrior continued with his yearlings proving popular with buyers at the BBAG September Sale on Friday.
First up was Gestüt Brümmerhof’s colt out of Mark Of Esteem mare Wildfährte and he sold to Marian Falk Weissmeier for €200,000. The colt is a half-brother to three stakes performers including dual Listed winner Wildpark and the Group 3-placed Wild Approach.
He hails from the top-class family of Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner Waldgeist, German Derby winner Waldpark and St Leger victor Masked Marvel.
Meanwhile, Gestüt Röttgen’s colt out of Motivator mare Wild Motion made €100,000 to Eckhard Sauren.
The half-brother to Listed winner Wild Gloria can count last year’s German Derby winner Palladium and Group 2 Park Hill Stakes scorer Wild Coco - also runner-up in the Group 1 Prix Vermeille - among his relatives.
On the track, Saxon Warrior was responsible for the unbeaten Gostam, who made it two wins from as many starts with victory in the Zukunfts-Rennen at Baden-Baden on Wednesday.
The Andreas Wöhler-trained juvenile had won by fourth lengths on debut at Munich in July and followed up that effort with a two-length score in the Group 3 contest.
