Son Of Saxon Warrior Strikes Late For Valuable Lincoln

Godwinson (5g Saxon Warrior – Malabar, by Raven’s Pass) secured a valuable prize for owner/breeders Jon and Julia Aisbit when taking the £150,000 Lincoln Handicap on the opening day of the British turf season.

Racing off a rating of 94, the William Haggas-trained bay was ridden patiently by Cieren Fallon and bided his time until gaps appeared. Running on well approaching the final furlong, he led in the final strides to beat Oliver Show (No Nay Never) by a nose.
