Sweet Success For Sioux Nation’s Oujda At Woodbine

Oujda (5m Sioux Nation - La Conseillante, by Elusive Quality) made a winning North American debut when claiming the black-type Sweet Briar Too Stakes at Woodbine on Saturday.

The five-year-old was a Group 3 winner in France and Listed scorer in Ireland for Johnny Murtagh and duly continued her progress for Will Walden in the six-furlong event. Settled in fourth in the ten-strong field, Oujda came off the rail in the hands of Rafael Hernandez to come home a length-and-a-quarter clear at the line.

Oujda was bred by Du Grand Chene Haras Du Bois.
