Crystal Ocean Filly Lands Fine Debut Win

Kissmehoneyhoney (3f Crystal Ocean - Buildmeupbuttercup, by Sixties Icon) made her first appearance on a racecourse a winning one when striking at Leicester on Monday.

The William Haggas-trained three-year-old pressed the leaders under Tom Marquand and took up pole position from four furlongs out. She stayed on resolutely to strike by a neck in the mile-and-a-quarter fillies' maiden contest.

Kissmehoneyhoney is from the second crop of world champion and young sire Crystal Ocean, who has made a fine start to his second career.

The Group 1 hero can count Auteuil Listed-winning hurdler Saint Crystal, emphatic Stratford bumper scorer Watamu and a host of maiden point-to-point scorers among his exciting first crop of four-year-olds.
