Daughter Of Order Of St George Off The Mark At Punchestown
Lilannbee (4f Order Of St George - American Creek, by Califet) got off the mark with a comfortable win in the mares' bumper at Punchestown on Wednesday.
The Order Of St George filly finished a half-length second on her most recent outing at Tramore and went one better in a competitive affair to strike by a length and three-quarters.
Trained by Stephen Carey and ridden by Michael Kenneally, the four-year-old made all and increased the pace to go clear from two furlongs out. She was pushed out to win in straightforward fashion.
Carey said: "It was my own fault the first few times she ran as she wasn’t right, and she’s improving all the time. We always thought she was a nice filly and she’s starting to prove it now.
“We might let her take her chance in the Grade 2 bumper in Leopardstown. It just fits in grand, and if we got a bit of black type it would be magic."
Lilannbee was bred by Mill House Stud and Mr N Farrell.
