First Win Over Hurdles For Vadamos Gelding
Cavalier Du Luy (4g Vadamos - Legende Du Luy, by Bonnet Rouge) claimed a first victory over hurdles with a comfortable strike at Kelso on Monday.
The son of Vadamos had landed a point-to-point at Toomebridge in May for Rob James before selling to Kevin Ross and Nick Alexander. He finished a neck second on his hurdling debut at Ayr in November and stepped up again for a first win under rules.
Ridden by Bruce Lynn, Cavalier Du Luy made all and produced a good jump at the final flight to quicken away and score by two lengths. There was a further nine and a half lengths back to the third-placed runner.
Cavalier Du Luy was bred by Vambeck Bloodstock Ltd.
