Four-Year-Old Winner Continues Fine Run For Vadamos
Cavalier Du Luy (4g Vadamos – Legende Du Luy, by Bonnet Rouge) continued a fine run for Vadamos when winning Saturday’s four-year-old maiden at Toomebridge.
Fourth on debut in February and third the following month, Rob James’ charge made all on his third start and displayed a game attitude in the closing stages. He led by a length on the line, as the front pair finished 17 lengths clear of the remainder.
The sales ring now beckons for the Vadamos gelding, who was bred by Vambeck Bloodstock. Earlier this week, Rob James rode Baron Noir (Vadamos) to win a competitive bumper at the Punchestown Festival, marking a second success for Alan King’s black-type performer.
In the preceding weeks, The Other Mozzie (Vadamos) won a Grade 3 chase at Sandown, while Spycatcher (Vadamos) recorded his fourth Stakes success at Doncaster.
