Perfect Start For Crystal Ocean Gelding At Boulta

Old Coast Road (4g Crystal Ocean - Pretty Moon, by Moon Madness) made a winning debut between the flags when capturing the four-year-old geldings maiden at Boulta on Saturday.

The John Murphy-trained four-year-old was patiently ridden by Johnny Barry and came to take up the lead before the final fence. Old Coast Road duly quickened clear to defeat Ar Ais Aris (by Walk In The Park) by two lengths, with Merry Away (by Getaway) dead-heating for third.

Bred by Whitebarn Farming Ltd, Old Coast Road was continuing Crystal Ocean’s fine run of form with his progeny under rules and in the point-to-point sphere.

The Group 1 winner has also been represented by impressive Warwick maiden hurdle winner Cristal d'Estruval, 14-length Punchestown Fillies Academy Hurdle victress Highland Crystal and Knockmullen House debut scorer Queens Charm.
