Progressive Son Of Vadamos Lands The Bumper

Race To Base (5g Vadamos – Real Revival, by Milan) added a bumper win to his point-to-point success when justifying favouritism at Hereford on Tuesday.

The Vadamos gelding was bought by Willy Twiston-Davies and owner David Proos after he made a winning debut for Andrew Latta at Loughanmore, and after a promising fourth in a Class 2 bumper at Aintree, finished a close second last time out.

Sam Twiston-Davies took the ride again on Tuesday for his father Nigel, and rode Race To Base prominently throughout the two-mile bumper. Ridden when challenged approaching the final furlong, the bay ran on well to beat Captain Hugo (Soldier Of Fortune) by a length. The front pair finished 13 lengths clear of the rest of the field.

The son of Grange Stud sire Vadamos was bred by Jimmy Lawler.
