Smart Debut Winner For In-Form Crystal Ocean

Green Hint (4g Crystal Ocean – Hint Of Grey, by Mastercraftsman) added to Crystal Ocean’s successful week when making a winning debut in Sunday’s four-year-old maiden at Daramona House.

Settled in midfield by Stephen Connor, Ross Crawford’s charge improved to chase the leaders approaching the second last, and disputed soon after. Two lengths clear by the final fence, he kept on well to score by two and a half lengths.

Owned by Simon Munir and Isaac Souede, Green Hint was bred by Paul and Catherine Reed. He hails from the first crop of Crystal Ocean, who was responsible for a smart Listed winner at Auteuil the previous day. Earlier in the week, impressive debut winner Cristal d’Estruval (Crystal Ocean) topped the Tattersalls Cheltenham Festival Sale at £400,000.
