Son Of Crystal Ocean Makes An Impact On Rules Bow

Canty's Cove (4g Crystal Ocean - Miss Fleming, by Flemensfirth) made the perfect start to his rules career with victory in the bumper at Taunton on Thursday.

The four-year-old had finished second in a Knockanard point-to-point in February and was going one better on his stable debut for Jamie Snowden.

Ridden by Gavin Sheehan, the son of Crystal Ocean raced prominently before taking up the lead a furlong out. He strode clear for a two-and-a-quarter-length victory, while in third was Arms Park (by Walk In The Park).

Canty's Cove was bred by Deborah Hobson.
