Son Of Crystal Ocean Remains Unbeaten With Winning Rules Debut

Freshers Week (4g Crystal Ocean - Ouro Verde, by Presenting) made the perfect start to his career under rules when striking at Market Rasen on Tuesday.

The son of Crystal Ocean had won his sole point-to-point at Taylorstown in April for Cormac Doyle and he transferred that success with a three-quarter length win for Charlie Longsdon in the extended 2m4f novices' hurdle.

Ridden by Lilly Pinchin, Freshers Week raced in second and came to take the lead before two flights out. He kept on strongly up the home straight to win in comfortable fashion.

Freshers Week led home a one-two-three for Coolmore-sired runners with Stumps Or Slips (by Getaway) in second and Country Park (by Walk In The Park) on third.

The four-year-old was bred by Seamus McKeogh.
