Son Of Vadamos Lands First Group Success

With Your Blessing (7g Vadamos - Super Trouper, by Darci Brahma) picked up a first Group success in the Bill Ritchie Handicap at Randwick on Saturday.

The John Thompson-trained gelding had placed in Group company on his last two starts and gained a deserved black-type victory with a neck score in the Group 3 contest.

Ridden by Alysha Collett, With Your Blessing broke smartly from a wide draw to take up the lead and the son of Vadamos showed a game attitude to land his seventh and biggest win to date.

Collett said of the seven-year-old: “He absolutely loves his job. He loves pinging the barriers, getting to the front, and as long as you sit there and cuddle him and tell him he's good, he'll give you a really good effort.

“He just got a little bit lost in the last 50m. He was a very good winner, very deserved. Thank you to the team for putting me on, he's just one of my favourite horses. He just makes life easy.”
