Unbeaten Son Of Crystal Ocean Strikes On Rules Debut

Cristal d'Estruval (4g Crystal Ocean - Aurore D'Estruval, by Nickname) retained his unbeaten record when comfortably landing a maiden hurdle at Warwick on Thursday.

The son of Crystal Ocean had won a Lisronagh point-to-point for Colin Bowe in February before selling to Ed Bailey Bloodstock and Harry Derham for £400,000 at the Tattersalls Cheltenham Festival Sale the following month.

Ridden by Paul O'Brien on his rules debut, Cristal d'Estruval made virtually all and he kept on well up the run-in to strike by three lengths. In second was Baron Noir (by Vadamos).

Cristal d'Estruval was bred by The Beeches Stud and Grange Stud.
