$325,000 Colt for Tiz The Law at Keeneland September

Leading second crop sire Tiz The Law saw six yearlings sell from six yearlings offered during the second book of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale, led by a $325,000 colt.

Taproot Bloodstock signed the ticket for the $325,000 colt out of Coed offered by Taylor Made during the first session of the book.

Bred by PTK, the colt is the first foal for American Pharoah daughter Coed. Out of Grade I-placed Classofsixtythree, Coed is a half-sister to five winners with the group including Grade III winner Sixtythreecaliber and Grade III winner and Grade I-placed Gunmetal Gray. Classofsixtythree is one of six winners for her own dam, that mare a winning daughter of the Grade II-placed Whip Cream.

Leading all second crop sired with eight graded stakes performers and two Grade I horses in 2025, Tiz The Law saw his Book 2 yearlings average $191,000 on Wednesday and Thursday.

The stallion has 19 still to go through the Keeneland September ring in coming days.
