Fully Subscribed Second Stakes Winner of Day for Tiz The Law
Showing the versatility of Tiz the Law runners, just an hour after he sired the winner of the Gr.3 Hill Prince on turf, Fully Subscribed (3f Tiz the Law x Sweetbaby, by Candy Ride) dominated the Gr.2 Mother Goose on dirt.
Racing over 1 1/8 miles, she raced a few paths off the rail under Dylan Davis in the tightly packed field about three lengths off the lead. Davis wasn’t worried about going wide throughout, taking her even wider coming into the stretch to give his mount clear room.
The stretch saw Fully Subscribed take the lead quickly and from there she raced away from the field. In the final furlong, Fully Subscribed pulled away to win by 4 ½ lengths.
“She broke well,” Davis said. “She is really maturing. I really like her at two turns. Just broke well and sat a great trip three-wide, a little pressure into the second turn, thought it was a little early, but the [other] filly wasn’t really getting to me that quick. I thought I had a lot of horse to just go ahead and push on, go through there, she responded really well. I think she was much the best here. Great job to the team.”
Trained by Chad Brown for Klaravich Stables, the filly went off as the race favorite after finishing inside the top three in each of her first three starts, including an impressive four length win at this track on debut.
A $300,000 2-year-old purchase last year, Fully Subscribed was bred by Payson Stud out of three-time winning Sweetbaby. That mare is one of seven winners out of Gr.1 winner Rutherienne. That mare is a full sister to Gr.3 winner Ruthenia and half-sister to three other stakes performers.
Sweetbaby had a full brother to Fully Subscribed this season.
The filly is the seventh stakes winner of the year for her second crop sire, who has 17 stakes performers in 2025 as well.
