
$375,000 Yearlings Lead Way for Golden Pal at Fasig-Tipton Saratoga
A pair of $375,000 yearlings led the way for Golden Pal at this week’s Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale with all six of his first-crop yearlings selling for an average of $298,125.
Twin Creeks Racing bought the first of the two $375,000 Golden Pals when purchasing a colt out of Kitty from Bedouin Bloodstock.
Bred by Sun Valley Farm and sold for $240,000 to Twin Peaks last November, the colt is the second foal out of his Street Boss dam. That mare is a half-sister to the stakes winning duo of Abby’s Angel and Cara Marie in addition to Group I Irish Oaks second Miss Jean Brodie.Five of Kitty’s sisters have produced stakes performers with that group including Grade II winner Ludy Lucia and Grade III winners and Grade I-placed Girl Daddy and Comicas.
Kitty returned to another Coolmore stallion in Munnings this year.
Mike Ryan went to $375,000 for a Fred Hertrich and Robert Tribbett-bred filly about 45 hips later when signing the ticket for E Five on the Taylor Made Sales consignee.
The New York-bred filly out of Blame mare Prisoner’s Dilemma is a half-sister to three-time winner Debt Paid among her two runners. Placed on the track, Prisoner’s Dilemma is a half-sister to stakes winners Brigand and Sky Music and to the dams of stakes winners Hush of a Storm and Founder. This page also includes four stakes winners and six other stakes performers under her third dam.
Rounding out Golden Pal’s top three priced yearlings was a $350,000 purchase by Sabby Racing.
A Florida-bred filly offered by Gainesway out of Jotown, the Bridlewood Farm-bred is a half-sister to the stakes placed Spiralizer. By Speightstown, Jotown is a full sister to the stakes winning Impulse Buy with their Grade II winning dam Jojo Warrior also the dam of six-time winner Under Oath.This is a packed family with Jojo Warrior one of four stakes winners out of the multiple stakes-placed Carson Jen. Among Carson Jen’s nine winners from nine to race are also Grade I winner A Z Warrior and Grade III winner E Z Warrior. A Z Warrior is the dam of Justify’s stakes winner Justa Warrior.

Golden Pal didn’t see any of his yearlings sell for under $150,000 during the two-day sale with others bringing $300,000, $285,000, $275,000, and $275,000.
