
$450,000 Filly Stars for Tiz The Law at Fasig-Tipton Saratoga
Rising superstar sire Tiz The Law saw his third crop well represented at the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale, led by a $450,000 filly purchased by Mayberry Farm.
Consigned by Eaton Sales, the Camas Park Stud-bred is a full sister to the placed Tiz The Law colt Luz de Guia. Their dam Kathy’s Clown was a winner at three as one of four winners out of Maria’s Dane, whose best runner is the multiple stakes placed Malibu Flame.This is also the family of No Nay Never’s stakes winner and Grade III placed No Nay Hudson and his Grade II winning dam Raw Silk. Raw Silk is closely related to Kathy’s Clown as another daughter of Malibu Moon.
Kathy’s Clown had a colt by champion Corniche this year and went to Practical Joke for 2026.
A Tiz The Law colt offered by breeder Machmer Hall was purchased by Chad Shumer as agent for KGS on a winning bid of $250,000.
This is the first foal for the stakes placed Carpe Diem mare Broad Approval. She is out of a half-sister to the Grade III winning duo of Dynamic Impact and Mo Strike. Their stakes winning dam Featherbed is also Grade I placed and is out of a half-sister to the granddam of champion Rushing Fall among others.It’s been a big week for Tiz The Law, whose son Buetane was also named a TDN Rising Star after a debut victory at Del Mar on Sunday.
