It was a third session topper for American Pharoah at the Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale when Taylor Swifter brought $700,000.
Consigned by Gainesway, the 4-year-old was snapped up by Pursuit of Success during the third session of the sale. She is out of the stakes winner and Gr.2 placed Taylor S, who has two winners from three to race. Taylor S is out of the successful Gr.3 winner Miss Macy Sue.
That mare’s four winners include dual Gr.1 winner Liam’s Map, Gr.3 winner and Gr.1 placed Not This Time, stakes winner and Gr.3 placed Matera, and the dam of Gr.2 placed Virginia Eloise. Taylor Swifter is carrying her first foal by Flightline.
American Pharoah’s daughter Sacred Pharoah was a $470,000 purchase the session before when purchased by Magna Carta Bloodstock.
Selling as a broodmare prospect with Runnymede Farm, Sacred Pharoah is a half-sister to the champion Lady Eli among the seven winners out of Sacre Coeur. That mare also produced Gr.3 winner Bizzy Caroline, who is the dam of this year’s Gr.1 Haskell S. third Goal Oriented, and American Pharoah’s Gr.3 placed Princesa Caroline.
