Cloe Gives Tiz The Law Dual Surface Stakes Double
It was two stakes winners on two different surfaces over the weekend for Tiz The Law when Cloe (3f Tiz The Law x Nuhood, by Smart Strike) won the Melody of Colors on turf.
Making her turf debut in the five-furlong race, the Lugamo Racing Stable representative went straight to the lead from the gate. She held a slim lead early on, but started expanding it throughout the run to be clear the time the field entered the final furlong.
Cloe was strong throughout the late stage to win by 1 ¾ lengths to take her record to two victories from three starts.
Trained by Jose Francisco D’Angelo, Cloe is now a winner on both dirt and turf.
The filly is one of two winners out of Nuhood. That daughter of multiple Grade I winner Habibti is a half-sister to multiple graded stakes winner Eldaafer and stakes winner Muhaawara – that mare producing two stakes performers of her own.
The page also includes Grade I winners Gal In a Ruckus, Soft Falling Rain, Clean Sweep and So You Think’s stakes winner So You Win.
Tiz The Law was also the sire of Saturday’s Grade II Louisiana Derby winner Tiztastic.
