
Corniche Duo On Offer at Fasig-Tipton Saratoga
Machmer Hall is the consignor of the two Corniche yearlings offered at this year’s Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Sale with one coming in each session.
On Monday, the consignor sends through Hip 83, a filly out of Unbridled’s Song mare Dontwasteurpretty.
Also bred by her consignor, the early March-born filly is a half-sister to one winner from one to race out of her dam. Dontwasteurpretty is a half-sister to the stakes winning Yes She’s a Lady and one other winner out of Wonder Lady. This page has plenty of class with Wonder Lady a half-sister to dual Grade I winner Pure Clan, Grade II winner Greater Good, and stakes placed Gather The Day.
Gather The Day is the granddam of Grade I winner Finley’sluckycharm with another half-sister the dam of Grade I winner Sky Diva. In all, there are 22 stakes performers named on this filly’s page with the group led by 13 stakes winners.
Dontwasteurpretty has a Gunite filly born on March 17 to come.
On Tuesday comes Hip 221, a colt out of Story Untold also bred by Machmer Hall.
The colt is a half-brother to Grade III winner Arella Rockstar and Knicks Story, who added a fourth win to his record after the catalog was released. Story Untold is a half-sister to multiple Grade III winner Feline Story, who is also a stakes producer as the dam of the stakes placed Dunk. A champion on the racetrack, Corniche saw his first crop yearlings sell for up to $200,000 in July after his first weanlings sold for up to $250,000.
