
Munnings Full Brother to Jack Christopher Brings $800,000 at Keeneland September
Winchell Thoroughbreds went to $800,000 to secure a Munnings colt from Paramount Sales during the first day of the Keeneland September Yearling Sale to lead the way for the stallion during the first two books.
The Castleton Lyons and Kilboy Estate-bred is a full brother to Munnings’ three-time Grade I winner and studmate Jack Christopher among the three winners out of Rushin No Blushin. Placed on the track, Rushin No Blushin is a half-sister to dual Grade I winner Street Boss and to Grade II winner Habiboo.
Habiboo produced the Grade II winning duo of Bellera and Life Imitates Art with her daughter producing Grade III winner Beyond Blame – who is the dam of Grade I placed Loggins.
The Stonestreet-bred Hip 402 sold to Delta Squad Racing with BSW-Crow as agent for $500,000.
Offered by Elm Tree Farm, the colt out of Limonaia is a half-brother to one winner from one to race. Limonaia was a winner on the track and is a full sister to Grade II winner Unspurned, whose daughter Pop Idol won the Galway Stakes during the Saratoga meet. This page also includes Grade I winner A Z Warrior and Grade II winner Jojo Warrior along with Grade II winner and Grade I-placed E Z Warrior.
Stakes winner and Grade I placed Sayaad and Grade I-placed Coronet of a Baron are also both in this family.
Others by Munnings sold in the first two books include a $425,000 filly purchased by Repole Stable and a $300,000 filly purchased by Flying Zee Racing with Munnings’ 13 sold averaging $249,231. He has 42 set to sell during the second week of Keeneland September.
