Munnings Filly Extends Win Streak in Wait A While

It was another win for Munnings’ Sister Troienne (2f Munnings x Dyna Passer, by Lemon Drop Kid) when the juvenile Woodslane Farm homebred won the Wait a While S. at Gulfstream Park.

Looking for her third straight victory in this one-mile synthetic track race, Sister Troienne was a heavy favorite here. She had to deal with a bump at the break before settling a few lengths off the leader just waiting for her time to pounce.

That time came in the stretch when she took over the lead from Day to Day just before the furlong pole and spurted away. By the time they hit the line, Sister Troienne was three lengths in front

This was the third win in four starts to the Brian Lynch trainee, who has now won at three tracks.

Sister Troienne is the first runner of the of the stakes placed Dyna Passer, whose half-siblings include Gr.1 winner Sadler’s Joy, Gr.2 winner Wolfie’s Dynaghost, and the stakes placed Lunaire. The filly’s family also includes the Gr.1 winning Sabin among many others.

Dyna Passer had a full sister to Sister Troienne last year.

This was one of two stakes performers in two days for Munnings, whose 3-year-old daughter Pretty Picture also finished second in the Gr.2 Mrs. Revere S. at Churchill Downs.
