Tiz The Law’s Out On Bail Wins Carle Place
It was another stakes victory for Out On Bail (3c Tiz The Law x Judge Lee, by Street Cry) on Sunday when the colt won the Carle Place Stakes at the Belmont at the Big A meet.
Breaking from the inside gate in the six-furlong turf race, Out On Bail let a few horses go out ahead of him when settling a few lengths off the leader from his rail spot. Sticking to that spot around the turn, he has to angle four paths from the rail to go outside all of the leaders in the stretch.
Once he had clear running room, Out On Bail quickly went to the lead with Cyclonite the only horse to stick with him. A duel in the last sixteenths of a mile saw Out On Bail refuse to give up and win by a nose.
Trained by Mike Maker for Case Chambers, Paradise Farms, and David Stauacher, Out On Bail has now won three of his 10 career starts with six other top three finishes. Included in those placings are a win in the Skidmore Stakes at two, three second place stakes finishes, and a third in the Grade III Penn Mile Stakes two starts ago.
Bred by Matthew Nestor, Out On Bail is the best runner out of Judge Lee. The mare was a two-time winner herself as one of six winners out of the stakes placed Miss Prado. Miss Prado also produced dual stakes winner Euro Platinum and the 15-time winner Tinto Mesa.
This family also includes the Grade III winners Miroswava and Pacific Fleet among others.
Judge Lee has a 2-year-old by Tiz The Law named Phil The Barber to come as well.
This is the fifth stakes winner of the year for Tiz The Law, who has 15 stakes performers overall in 2025
