Sixtygeesbaby (3g Starspangledbanner – Field Of Stars, by Acclamation) appears to have an exciting season ahead, after the smart colt made a winning return to action at Doncaster on Friday.

Tom Clover’s charge won a Newmarket novice stakes by four lengths on his second start in November and remained over six furlongs on his seasonal return. Ridden prominently by Neil Callan, he was pushed along before the two-furlong pole and led a furlong later. Ridden soon after, he ran on well to deny the well-related favourite by a short head.

Owned by O Humphrey, Sixtygeesbaby was bred by Airlie Stud and Mrs S Rogers.
