Bright Future Ahead Of Starspangledbanner Juvenile

Blingy’s Sister (2f Starspangledbanner – Millicent Fawcett, by Kingman) produced a smart debut performance to win Friday’s six-furlong maiden at Chepstow.

Slightly sluggish from the gates, the Hugo Palmer-trained newcomer raced at the back of the field under Joe Leavy and was asked to quicken at halfway. The chesnut had plenty of ground to make up two furlongs out, but ran on strongly close home to lead by a length and a half on the line.

Owned by Wholey Hussey Owen, the daughter of Starspangledbanner was bred by the Irish National Stud Mare Syndicate III.
