Churchill Colt Easily Lands Maiden Win

Wanderlust (3c Churchill - Life Of The Party, by Siyouni) gained a deserved first success when storming to victory at Angers on Monday.

Trained by Andre Fabre, Wanderlust had placed on four of his previous six starts, including when a three-quarter-length second to subsequent Group 2 winner Daryz at Longchamp in April.

Godolphin’s Churchill colt was duly sent off the long odds-on favourite and led from the start under Cristian Demuro. Turning into the home straight, Wanderlust stayed on strongly to post a four-length win.

The three-year-old was bred by Ecurie Vitale.
