Churchill Filly Gains Eyecatching Maiden Victory

Deedaydiva (2f Churchill - Rockstar Night, by Fastnet Rock) came home strongly to win on her second start at Sandown on Saturday.

The Alan King-trained two-year-old was third to the exciting Zanthos (by Sioux Nation) on debut at Newmarket this month and made use of that experience with a professional display in the seven-furlong fillies' maiden.

Tracking the leaders under Hector Crouch, the daughter of Churchill powered up the Sandown hill to win by a comfortable two lengths. Thankfully (by St Mark’s Basilica) finished third on her racecourse bow.

Deedaydiva was bred by Knocktoran Stud and G Fox.
