Churchill Two-Year-Old Scores On Debut

Bosa Nova (2f Churchill – Vallambrosa, by Holy Roman Emperor) made a perfect start to her career when winning Monday’s fillies’ maiden at Chepstow.

Ralph Beckett’s newcomer was well-supported ahead of the six-furlong contest and, after breaking slowly, was pushed along to lead by Hector Crouch. Asked to quicken two furlongs from home, she was ridden to assert inside the final furlong and kept on to score by three parts of a length.

Bosa Nova was bought by Richard Ryan as a yearling for £100,000 and now carries the colours of Teme Valley Racing. The daughter of Churchill was bred by Whisperview Trading.
