Easy Win For Juvenile Gleneagles Colt
Northern Brave (2c Gleneagles - Huamulan, by Wootton Bassett) got off the mark on his second start with a five-length strike at Ayr on Thursday.
Trained by Michael Dods, Northern Brave had finished a promising third on debut over course and distance last month.
Sent off the odds-on favourite under Paul Mulrennan, the son of Gleneagles was positioned prominently and came to lead over a furlong out. He pulled clear to register an easy win.
Gleneagles' leading performers this year include the Champion Stakes-bound King George and Queen Elizabeth Stakes victor Calandagan and Group 2 Grand Prix de Chantilly scorer Arrow Eagle.
Another promising juvenile winner for his sire, Northern Brave was bred by Roland Yap.
