Gleneagles Standing

Winning Start For Juvenile Gleneagles Filly

Chantelle (2f Gleneagles - Canasta, by Charm Spirit) struck at the first time of asking with a comfortable win at Wolverhampton on Tuesday.

The Sir Mark Prescott-trained filly was towards the rear early on under Luke Morris before making headway over two furlongs out. She stayed on strongly to deny the odds-on favourite by three-quarters of a length.

A homebred for the Elite Racing Club, Chantelle is another promising juvenile for her sire this year.

Other two-year-olds to note by Gleneagles include Newcastle scorer Moonlight Warrior and five-length Ayr victor Northern Brave.
