Smart Starspangledbanner Colt Strikes On Second Start

Hasbro Market (2c Starspangledbanner - Hala Hala, by Invincible Spirit) built on a recent promising debut when striking at Thirsk on Friday.

Trained by David O'Meara, the son of Starspangledbanner was following on from a runner-up effort at Hamilton earlier this month. He was positioned prominently under Danny Tudhope this time and, after taking up the lead after two furlongs, went on to win by a comfortable length and a half.
