Starspangledbanner Colt Follows Up At Goodwood

Qetaifan (2c Starspangledbanner – My Call, by Shamardal) made all to record his second straight win in Sunday’s six furlong novice stakes at Goodwood.

Andrew Balding’s charge won in good style at Chester last month and was sent off favourite to defy a penalty under Oisin Murphy. Pushed along approaching the final furlong, he was ridden soon after and kept on to score by half a length.

The improving son of Starspangledbanner is owned by Al Rabban Racing and was bred by Rosemont Stud.
