Starspangledbanner Filly Off The Mark With Easy Win

Tarot (2f Starspangledbanner - Astrologer, by Intello) got off the mark with a straightforward win at Kempton on Friday.

The Cheveley Park homebred had placed on all three of her previous starts and she was sent off a warm order to strike for Roger Varian on her fourth outing.

Tarot was quick to break and made all under Rossa Ryan, pulling clear in the closing stages to register a two-and-a-quarter-length win.

It has been a fine afternoon for Starspangledbanner as Precise landed her second Group 1 in the Fillies’ Mile at Newmarket, following on from her victory in the Moyglare Stud Stakes last month.

Starspangledbanner's yearlings at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale this week proved popular too, with a half-sister to Group 1 winner No Speak Alexander selling to Al Shira'aa Racing for 500,000gns on Thursday.
