Starspangledbanner Filly Strikes At Cork

Precise (2f Starspangledbanner - Way To My Heart, by Galileo) gained a first success when winning in comfortable fashion at Cork on Thursday.

The Ballydoyle-trained filly had finished second on debut at Fairyhouse last month and showed a fine turn of foot to strike by two-and-three-quarter lengths over Cape Sounion (by No Nay Never).

Representative Chris Armstrong said: "She had a lovely run the first day in Fairyhouse with Wayne [Lordan]. He liked her and thought stepping up to seven would help her.

“She’s a filly that is held in high regard and is well entered up. It could be worth having a look at something like the Ingabelle [at Leopardstown on Champions Weekend] and she is one to look forward to.”
