Well-Related Starspangledbanner Filly Makes 500,000gns At Tattersalls

A Starspangledbanner half-sister to Group 1 winner No Speak Alexander sold to Al Shira'aa Racing for 500,000gns at Tattersalls Book 1 on Thursday.

Consigned by Mountarmstrong Stud, the daughter of Starspangledbanner is a half-sibling to Matron Stakes heroine No Speak Alexander and out of a Listed-winning sister to Hong Kong Group 1 victor Peniaphobia.

It is the further family of Group 1 Gran Premio Di Milano winner Benvenue and Group 3 Cornwallis Stakes scorer Peace Offering.

It has been another fine year for Starspangledbanner with his progeny on the track headed by Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes victress and Fillies’ Mile-bound Precise, as well as Group 2 Coventry Stakes winner and dual Group 1-placed Gstaad. The Royal Ascot hero lines up in tomorrow’s Group 1 Dewhurst Stakes.
