First Hurdles Win For Wings Of Eagles Gelding

Vol Royale (5g Wings Of Eagles - King'sandqueen's, by King’s Theatre) ran out an emphatic winner over hurdles at Hereford on Wednesday.

The five-year-old was ridden by Harry Cobden and made all before going clear approaching the final flight. The pair finished six lengths clear at the line with a further 16 lengths back to the third-placed runner.

Vol Royale had won a Dunsmore point-to-point for Will Biddick last November and he was recording a first victory under rules for Kayley Woollacott.

The son of Wings Of Eagles was bred by Patrick Doyle.
