Second Hurdles Win For Wings Of Eagles Gelding

Vol Royale (6g Wings Of Eagles - King'sandqueen's, by King’s Theatre) backed up last month’s Hereford hurdles win with another score over course and distance on Monday.

The Kayley Woollacott-trained gelding was adding a second win under rules to his name, having readily landed a maiden hurdle contest by six lengths on just his third start over obstacles.

Ridden by Harry Cobden, the son of Wings Of Eagles made all and battled strongly before the final flight to win by three-quarters of a length. Vol Royale and runner-up Aguellid finished 14 lengths clear of the third horse home.
