Wings Of Eagles Gelding Makes The Perfect Start At Hereford

Smile John Boy (4g Wings Of Eagles - Kings Sister, by King's Theatre) made the perfect start to his career when winning the concluding bumper at Hereford on Tuesday.

The Ben Pauling-trained gelding was ridden by Callum Pritchard and made all to post an impressive five-and-a-half-length victory.

Smile John Boy was continuing the purple patch for Wings Of Eagles, whose other recent winners include Kelso hurdles scorer Eagles Reprieve, unbeaten Hexham bumper victor Forthfactor and Rathcannon debut winner Majestic Horizon.

The four-year-old was bred by Thomas Mulhern.
