Impressive First Win Over Fences For Daughter Of Wings Of Eagles
The Great Nudie (6m Wings Of Eagles - Blue Gale, by Be My Native) picked up a first win over fences when romping to victory at Naas on Friday.
A dual winner and Listed-placed performer over hurdles last season, The Great Nudie was adding to her smart record with a 12-length score for trainer Colin Bowe.
Ridden by Sean Flanagan, the daughter of Wings Of Eagles made all and went clear up the run-in to post a third victory under rules and a fourth score overall. The six-year-old had also landed a Ballingarry maiden point-to-point by 18 lengths in May 2024.
Flanagan said: "She's as game as pebble, not very big but has a massive heart.
“I thought she was a bit flat the last day and then she stayed on well towards the finish. Jumping was the name of the game today. She's a very good jumper of a fence and is back fresh and well today.”
The Great Nudie was bred by The Beeches Stud.
