Getaway Mare Draws Clear To Black-Type Success

Aston Martini (6m Getaway – Gabriella Rose, by Kayf Of Tara) maintained an upward curve when easing clear in the Listed Prix du Cher at Compiegne on Wednesday.

The Nicky Henderson-trained mare came into the race having won five of her eight starts, including two competitive Class 2 hurdles. Racing over two miles and three furlongs at Compiegne, she made smooth headway from over four furlongs out and travelled well in second approaching the penultimate flight. Pushed to lead approaching the last, she was eased down to score by ten lengths.
