Getaway Mare Makes Winning Debut Over Hurdles
A Path To Ronda (5m Getaway - Dusty Too, by Terimon) made a successful debut over hurdles when striking at Stratford on Thursday.
The Jamie Snowden-trained mare had won her first start when landing a bumper at Uttoxeter in December, while she was also fourth in a Listed bumper at Sandown in March.
Ridden by Gavin Sheehan, A Path To Ronda was settled in rear before making headway two flights out. The pair took a narrow lead at the last and pulled five-and-a-half-lengths clear at the line.
Bred by Virginia McGrath, the daughter of Getaway is a half-sister to Grade 1 Arkle Chase and Neptune Investment Management Novices' Hurdle scorer Simonsig and the Grade 1-placed Dusart.
