Impressive Four-Year-Old Winner By Order Of St George
Midtown Manhattan (4g Order Of St George – Clara Allen, by Accordion) emerged as a smart prospect on Saturday when running out a commanding winner of the four-year-old maiden at Ballysteen.
Colin Bowe’s newcomer was sent off favourite under Barry O’Neill and made all, drawing clear on the run-in to score by six and a half lengths, with another four and a half lengths back to the third.
Bred by Ms Cora Cronin, Midtown Manhattan hails from the second crop of Order Of St George, which are continuing the smart start made by his first crop. Fellow four-year-old Skerry Hill bolted up by eight lengths on debut and subsequently sold to Gordon Elliott and Aidan O’Ryan for £205,000 at the Tattersalls Cheltenham Festival Sale.
