Colin Bowe reaped rewards with Order Of St George’s progeny at the Goffs Punchestown Sale, where he sold both of the sire’s offerings for six-figure sums.

Buoyed by Baron Noir’s (Vadamos) win in the bumper, Noel Fehily and David Cross bought both lots for a combined €305,000. At €205,000, their most expensive purchase of the evening was Midtown Manhattan (4g Order Of St George – Clara Allen, by Accordion), a smart debut winner at Ballysteen the previous weekend.

Earlier in the session, the pair went to €100,000 for Bowe’s Millstatt Abbey (4m Order Of St George – Shush, by Flemensfirth), who finished half a length behind Lennon Grove (Walk In The Park) at Loughanmore on debut, with the front pair finishing seven lengths clear of the remainder.

Both hail from the second crop of Beeches Stud sire Order Of St George.
