Order Of St George Gelding Lands First Win Over Hurdles

Wandering Ego (5g Order Of St George - All The Queens, by Dilshaan) got off the mark over hurdles when easily winning at Stratford on Thursday.

The Olly Murphy-trained gelding had run out an eight-length winner of a Wetherby bumper in March and was building on his return effort last month with a 14-length victory.

Ridden by Sean Bowen, Wandering Ego pressed the leader and went clear after three flights. There was a reduced lead with three hurdles to jump but the five-year-old went clear again approaching the last to secure a commanding win.

He led home a one-two-three for Coolmore-sired runners with Park Talk (by Walk In The Park) and Brace For Landing (by Wings Of Eagles) in second and third.

The son of Order Of St George was bred by R Cody.
